I'm at home watching the news. Barrack Obama was sworn in today. I walked home after work because tonight its supposed to start snowing. We might get a few inches over night and I want to spend as much time outside now as possible.
So New Years and the Holidays have come and gone. I had a great Christmas - went to my parents house, had a little snow on the ground. The house was beautiful and cozy as usual. I love being out there in the middle of trees and meadow. My brother was back, to. Had a mostly mellow visit - spent a little time in Portsmouth, NH. On my way home we had dinner in the North End of Boston, which was great. It was early because my flight was in the late afternoon but it was great because we were the only ones in the restaurant.
New Years was really fun. I didn't have any plans until the day before, but at the last minute my friend S came up from St louis, NP came over (of course), my friend G came over with her sister, B came up from Hyde Park and N came. Had a lot of booze - went and got some whiskey. vodka and champagne. Already had some Old Style. Mostly hung around my house and drank, but went out to the Rainbow around 11 and was there until they closed. B and N had eaten some aderol so they went out again - something about sitting in a bathtub and two guys. I felt pretty good the next day, for once. Didn't want a repeat of Halloween.
JC is coming on Friday. It's going to be fun. I'm ready for him to move here. Its going to be a big change from Louisiana, but I think he's going to love it.
